Job description

UAE Sustainment Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Training Manager

Location: Raytheon in Abu Dhabi, UAE

NOTE - This role will require forward deployment under the terms of an MOU/Long Term International Assignment managed by Raytheon International Assignment Services (IAS) to the UAE Work Location.

Proven leader responsible to provide senior management and oversight for the UAE IAMD Training Program that currently includes UAE HAWK, Patriot, and THAAD weapon systems. Provide direct management of all UAE Patriot and HAWK Training personnel; oversee and supervise the UAE training program, develop and instruct programs of instruction (POIs) for IAMD Training Center concerning operations and sustainment activities, able to monitor, instruct and evaluate IAMD soldiers performing crew drills, mission exercises and readiness evaluations of a tactical fire unit.

The position requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with demonstrated hands on experience relating to the Middle East-Gulf Region Air Defense Training requirements. The position entails direct interface with key UAE Air Force and Air Defense leaders to enable frequent and candid discussion and resolution of UAE soldier proficiency shortcomings, and provide development and recommend changes to training POIs and scheduling. Demonstrated IAMD System trainer able to develop, instruct and manage multi-function in-country training teams involved in the establishment of a UAE IAMD training curriculum for the UAE Training Center. Provide leadership and technical guidance in support of the UAE Air Force IAMD training program for the development of courses/POIs, staffing plans, training devices and simulators requirements along with facilities operation and planning required to support the education/training for the sustainment of two PATRIOT battalions, 2 HAWK battalions, and 2 THAAD batteries and associated support centers. Individual is a SME with demonstrated experience on the operational and sustainment training of an Air Defense Brigade, to include developing and executing robust training POIs/programs from Fire Unit to Battalion to Brigade and up to the Air Operations Center (AOC) environment. Individual may be the initial in-country training lead for future air defense procurements to include NASAMS, JLENS, ADOC, and other USG and Raytheon systems and will provide supporting documentation and inputs for required proposals; responsible to develop and coordinate on-going training programs and daily training team activities to the in-country program office; provide full support to the In-Country Program Manager for all training matters and issues pertaining to training program development supporting the IAMD Systems in the UAE.

Basic Qualifications:

· 10+ years demonstrated HAWK/Patriot/THAAD/SHORAD operations and maintenance experience in US and international air defense training missions

· 10+ years of HAWK/Patriot/THAAD/SHORAD training and mission support requirements to include International air defense advisory assignments, training programs and Middle East coalition activities.

· Demonstrated experience of managing HAWK/Patriot/THAAD/SHORAD training programs, International and US with alignment to international missions and deployments, operations tempo and readiness evaluations

· Demonstrated experience in the development and instruction of HAWK/Patriot/THAAD/SHORAD course curriculum and POIs

Required Education:

· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college

Desired Qualifications:

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.

· 10+ year’s hands on HAWK/Patriot/THAAD/SHORAD training experience and direct interaction with USG agencies involved in Security Assistance and program management of Air Defense Missile Systems.

· Demonstrated experience with the Air Defense Gunnery Table development, instruction and evaluations

· Desired Education: Master’s Degree or MBA from an accredited university or college

· Prior assignments overseas, preferably in the Middle East or GCC, and knowledge of the Islamic culture and society

· US Army Top Gun or Mater Gunner experience

· US Army Brigade / Battalion EMMO experience

· US Army Training and Fielding Team (TAFT) experience
