Job description
The ICT Officer ensures the delivery of day to day ICT support to the school's users (students, academic and administrative staff), covering servers, network, desktop, telephony and mobile kit. Act as one of the first points of contact in resolving user and technical ICT issues.
Main duties and responsibilities:

- Responsible for installation, testing, upgrading, control and troubleshooting of all configuration items of the ICT network, including software and hardware assets
- Ensures that the IT hardware and software is of the highest possible quality to maximize the learning opportunities of all students & staff and to meet the needs of the school
- Monitors the state of equipment and take appropriate action
- Responding to calls on the on-line helpdesk
- Ensure the security and protection of the ICT infrastructure and communications systems against improper or fraudulent use
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all staff members, 3rd party suppliers and other partner organizations to implement and maintain ICT network services
- Maintain an inventory of all computers, printers, projectors, IWB, etc
- Maintain, repair and extend network cabling as necessary
Desired Skills and Experience
Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree, MS Certified Administrator (MCSA)

- A self-starter with a high degree of initiative and creative thinker
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through implementation
- 5 years working experience in school, college, mid-sized company with preference in the education sector
- Greenfield projects and leadership experience
- UAE working experience preferred
- Support experience in Networking and Window environment, Dell hardware, educational software, helpdesk system, MS office, MS servers/client, Desktop/laptops, IPad, E-mails/internet settings, Interactive whiteboard, AV equipment, wireless, LAN, configure network switch, IP telephony and anti-virus
- Use both hardware and software analysis tools effectively in order to identify, analyze and resolve less routine hardware/software failures/faults
- Good understanding of networking and communications technology
- Maintenance of Microsoft server 2012 including AD and GP Management, Windows 7 & 8, Mac devices, daily backup, printers, Anti-virus, backup system, job logs, network infrastructure and monitoring school user accounts
- First/second line troubleshooting on network, computer and server systems
- Inter-culturally aware with well-developed interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build strong working relationship, internal and external to the organization
- High integrity
