Job description

JOB PROFILE: Operates, controls and maintains a steady state of operation of one more process units and related equipment in the most safe and efficient manner to meet required throughput, maximize yield and meet required quality specifications. Handles all unit emergencies Ensures the operations are in accordance with established procedures and instructions.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company's policies and procedures
Develop, Review, improvise/optimize Predictive maintenance & preventive maintenance program for Rotary Equipment of Refinery complex.
Develop, review & improvise predictive maintenance, condition monitoring procedures & work instructions.
Collect, review & Analyse condition monitoring data from offline & on-line systems & issue recommendations/Reports.
Carry out In-site balancing of Rotors & witness shop balancing of rotors as per best practices & standards.
Identify bad actors & propose recommendation/solutions to eliminate them.
Lead or participate in RCA (Root Cause Analysis) study and failure investigations related to Rotary equipment.
Troubleshooting of Rotary Equipment problems & recommending corrective measures.
Focal point for Reliability centred maintenance (RCM) study, implementation & sustainability.
Develop, monitor & present KPI's for rotary equipment & prepare monthly reports.
Work with the Predictive Team Leader in the development of annual budgets and play a key role in the management and control of costs.
Develop and improve the technical & predictive maintenance skills for Omani nationals.
Require strong analytical techniques and the ability to solve complex problems through an organized, logical and systematic approach.
Must have expert knowledge of wide range of reliability engineering methodologies and principals.
Provides on the spot analysis for the collected data to identify the root cause, severity and hence decides the priority level for the corrective task related to each individual problem and hence ensures the work orders include all these data with clear corrective actions.
Builds up a library of Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) for different equipment in the area of responsibility that could assist operations / maintenance personnel to overcome different types of problems by providing a quick reference & comprehensive analysis for failure modes
Carries out specialized reliability studies as needed and provide recommendations for improvement to reach the recommended values by relevant international societies such as OREDA for Mean Time Between Failure MTBF, Mean Time To Repair MTTR, Reliability…etc.
Adopt the most up-to-date technologies in the field of condition monitoring that match fields requirements including Vibration Analysis, Lube Oil Analysis, Thermal Imaging, Motor Current Analysis, Operator Driven Reliability, .. etc.
Sets the threshold limits that indicate different zones of assets operation (normal, early warning, alert or danger) as per relevant code & standards, OEM recommendation, industrial best practices & experience.
Directs the data collection team to carry out the routine condition monitoring tasks or any other related activities as and when required within the area of responsibility.
Issues periodic reports demonstrating assets health condition in a simple & easy structure to allow customers (maintenance personnel) to fully understand & utilize.

Minimum Requirements:
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering with 12+years of experience in Oil and gas or Petrochemical industries.
Minimum of 7 years in a supervisory capacity of which 3 years in a similar role.

Experience should cover the following areas:
Vibration analysis, thermal imaging, lube oil analysis, Operator Driven Reliability systems and other condition monitoring technique and software / database related to these systems
On-line condition monitoring system Bentley Nevada System-1.
Motor current analysis systems and Dissolved Gas Analysis are preferable

Level III certification of Vibration analysis will be an advantage.
Experience in Facilitation & Implementation of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) would be an advantage.
Extensive knowledge in CMMS and SAP System.
Good knowledge of API, Lube oil analysis, On-line offline vibration analysis
