We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager Logistics Procurement – Transformation Projects for our Gulf business. This role will be office based.

Location: Dubai
Main Purpose of the Role
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will work in support of development and implementation of Transformation Projects for Global Logistics Procurement to bring its strategy to life. Position reports to Global Procurement Manager – Transformation Projects.

· Role requires, strong analytical skills with an understanding of basic accounting and finance principles and an ability to work to deadlines and prioritize work across the organization and different time zones, project management skills, responding rapidly to ad hoc requests, a pragmatic attitude and ability to work with a high degree of independence and in virtual set ups, good interpersonal skills and willingness to adapt to different situations, good written and oral communication skills

· Transformation Projects will be a breakthrough approach to procuring logistics and drive step change in value delivery to the business.
  • Is an expert in data analysis and use of Excel (advanced Excel skills preferred) and Microsoft Project and Unilever transactional systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support the Logistics Procurement Transformation Project Manager in
    • Identifying and driving transformation projects
    • Implement pilot and cascade implementation deck to clusters for global roll out
    • Oversee in cluster transformation project execution after successful pilot implementation
  • Work with partners and external organization to identify potential for logistics collaboration to optimize logistics costs and environmental footprint. Quantified deliverables of collaboration are:
    • 20% Reduction in empty kilometers travelled in 2 years
    • 20% Reduction in warehousing space paid for by Unilever in 2 years
    • 20% Reduction in unit costs in 2 years
  • Evaluate Unilever Global Logistics Asset utilization and look into potential revenue generation from them
  • Lead Unilever’s entry into E-Commerce market by providing optimal logistics distribution models
  • Deliver value to the business in the form of incremental sale by initiatives such as Advertising on Trucks & E-Commerce
Key Requirements:
· BA/BS University Degree required – financial discipline preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in general business or 2 - 4 years in Procurement
  • Prior Experience in Logistics is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Project essential.
  • Software application training will be provided as required but a strong aptitude for data analysis is essential.
