As an Engineering Leader, you will guide the overall testing and certification strategies with a focus on increasing quality and help to design the next generation of our testing and certification infrastructure and services.
This is a key role responsible for actively developing our quality framework, maintaining test and certification environments, providing product feedback, and advocating for standards.

Your Responsibilities

That is to say, your responsibilities would be:
- Leading a team of several engineers, developing and coaching them by providing career counseling, feedback and guidance.
- Communicating with customers to discuss technical and process issues and results and negotiates completion dates and sample requirements
- Establishing appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer’s information, examining samples, and applying requirements. Determines compliance with requirements, any changes in project scope or specifications, and notifies customer.
- Providing technical guidance to both team and customer for complex engineering issues. Ensures quality and adherence to policies and standard requirements.
- Increasing customer loyalty, anticipates customer needs and provides proactive solutions.
- Developing strong, flexible cross-functional networks and global relationships to promote highest quality and interaction.

Your Profile
Specifically, you have:
1. UL 10B/ UL 10C – Fire Doors testing Standards
2. UL 555/ UL555S – Damper Testing Standard
3. UL 448 – Fire Pump Testing standards
4. UL 723/ ASTM E84 – Testing standard for evaluating Surface Burning Characteristics of Building materials/products
5. UL 263/ ASTM E 119 – Testing standards for Walls and Partitions
6. UL 1247 – Diesel Engines testing Standard
7. UL162 – Foam and Foam equipment testing standard
8. UL 181 – Air Ducts standards

Specifically, you have:
- University degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Fire / Civil)
- Over 5 years of directly related experience in Building and Life Safety Technologies/ Fire Safety/ Oil and Gas or related sectors
- Lean Sigma Green Belt or Lean Leadership Training or equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of how decisions impact business results, working with a diverse team and planning and thinking strategically.
- Demonstrated ability to manage employee performance using performance expectations and goals, and responding to employee relations issues.
- Genuine ability to analyze and interpret analyses, data, process documents and plans.
- Flexibility to take calculated risks and plan for contingencies.
- Ability to convert complicated projects into small tasks for a team to execute on
- Ability to keep track of and identify intricate dependencies between projects and timelines
- High awareness of the challenges of working in diverse cultural environments.
- Oral and written proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic will be an advantage
