Job description

Previous knowledge and experience of purchasing and logistics in a similar role.

Undergraduate degree level educated or professional qualification.

CIPS qualifications

Good organisational skills, self-motivated, quick thinking and able to use initiative.

Able to work individually and part of a team.

Able to work under pressure and provide assistance to other team members.

Must be competent with Microsoft Office software

Abiliy to liaise with suppliers and clients in a professional manner on a daily basis

Knowledge of air/sea/road freight preferably on a global scale

Experience of using freight forwarders

Knowledge of shipping hazardous materials

Experience of Tariff Codes and HMRC compliance

Working knowledge of export documentation

The successful candidate will need to be flexible with working hours as required to ensure that projects pass through Llandow efficiently and on schedule.

Must be highly motivated as this is a role where the candidate will experience continued development

Some travel will be required, occasionally at short notice.

Out of hours working may/will be required based on project requirements.

Adaptable, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst maintaining good communication with everyone involved.
