Position Title: Solutions Sales Specialist

Location: Dubai

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The person will lead all pre-sales efforts in Teradata & Business Intelligence opportunities, focusing mainly on Telecommunications, Media and Utilities Industries.

He will also be participating, as lead or supporting role, in various demand creation activities.

He/She must be a strong technologist, with significant experience in one or more of the following domains: data management, data warehousing, business intelligence, analytical solutions and must possess excellent communication and presentation skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• As a Solution Architect, work with NCR sales teams and closely with Customers to identify new opportunities for usage and expansion of Big Data & Business Intelligence Solutions and translate requirements into technical architectures, capacity plans and appropriate product configurations

• Prepare responses to RFPs & RFIs and take ownership of end-to-end proposals, by coordinating with appropriate Sales, PS (Professional Services) and CS (Customer Services) resources

• Prepare Teradata & BI product and solution presentations, with support from relevant NCR and Teradata resources and deliver them in an effective and convincing manner; provide technical thought leadership

• Participate in Industry demand creation activities, in a lead or support role (depending on the subject area) and in collaboration with NCR and Teradata Industry Consultants

• Collaborate with Professional Services Team to analyze business requirements, scope Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence projects and create time-phased application roadmaps

• Be a trusted advisor to the client's decision makers by establishing credibility and domain knowledge

Desired Skills and Experience

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

• Broad technical expertise combined with business acumen in relation to Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW) and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions

• Desirable is additional expertise in surrounding technologies, such as ETL, OLAP, Data Mining, Data Quality, Security

• Previous Professional Services experience in EDW/BI would be a plus

• Significant experience in the Telecommunications Industry and/or Utilities Industry.

• Strong client interaction, communication, presentation and consulting skills

• Dedicated, committed and focused
