Job description
To
provide support to the HR Business Support Group (BSG) which looks
after complete HR/Employee systems being used by every employee, line
manager and HR business units by assisting the vast end-user community
in using and utilising the systems efficiently and effectively, and by
adding improved functionality on a continuous basis.
To ensure, through participation in the systems development life cycle, that the proposed system/solution delivers the expected business results and ensure that these systems function smoothly and are stable with every new change and release
Job Outline
Bachelors degree
7 years relevant experience in developing specifications for business requirements and providing user support on systems.
In-depth and detailed knowledge of user/functional environment, Oracle ERP/Fusion system and/or another leading ERP package and specific software applications relating to different business units.
Ability to deal and interact with all levels of staff either from the technical and/or user community, or with Oracle Support and Development/Emirates Group IT, in a friendly and persuasive manner.
Ability to understand different user group's needs and translate those to into workable solutions suitable to all user groups.
Domain Knowledge of Airline HR Systems.
Proven business analysis skills and Experience in project management with the ability to achieve results with the help of persons outside direct control of the job holder.
The ability to plan and organise projects and tasks in parallel and deliver within agreed time scales, proven track record in analytical thinking and problem solving.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with all levels of staff, in a multi-cultural environment.
Ability to understand different customer group's needs and translate those into workable solutions.
The ability to create and deliver presentations to all levels of staff.

Job Outline
- Collate, analyse business requirements/system enhancements in order to ensure the end result is as per the business requirement. Monitor new developments in the functional areas; assess relevance for Emirates Group and advice business areas on the changes. Communicate these to the Emirates Group IT.
- Suggest, formulate and document solutions to meet the individual department's needs and ensure that proposed changes are in the overall interests of the Emirates Group and future strategy of the system. Consider the impact on the numerous linked systems and ensure that these are allowed for. Escalate, through applicable business environment, functional issues and conflicts and make recommendations of potential solutions. Maintain a repository of documented business processes.
- Provide expert advice, training and guidance to users by answering functional queries, identifying areas of improvement through system monitoring of users and suggest best practices that offer potential cost or productivity savings to ensure BSG retains its role as the Centre of Excellence.
- Explore, suggest and justify new automation needs, process improvement opportunity, simplification and standardization of existing HR administrative practices to reduce admin related cost and bring in improvements at every level. Special focus needs to be given to explore new Oracle functionalities and engage I.T. to carry out preliminary feasibility study for desired automation.
- Prepare the Acceptance Test Pack for each new function, each module and for the complete system in association with the various functional areas within Human Resources. Perform comprehensive acceptance testing to ensure that new systems are rigorously tested against various conditions to ensure operational continuity. Necessary assistance need to be given to ensure all users is appropriately trained with clear emphasis on change management.
- Co-ordination, updating and maintenance of the business critical master tables and system configuration database of the Oracle ERP and other HR systems.
- Maintain all user owned system documentation including the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Identify changes required to the documentation as a result of new business requirements/system upgrades; agree and document the new procedure with the affected departments.
- Co-ordinate the implementation of system upgrades as delivered by Oracle for the ERP system and related functions and ensure that the EK Group's specific developments are working in conjunction with the upgrade. Track problem reports raised by end-users and give guidance for the resolutions. Interact with Oracle Support & Emirates Group IT for filing, follow-up and resolution of system bugs and SRs (Service Request). Provide explanations whenever needed.
