Job description

An exciting role has arisen in the Sales & Marketing at Madinat Jumeirah for a highly motivated and hard working individual. The main purpose of this position is to ensure achievement of annual financial targets for  business to Madinat Jumeirah (MJ) and develop & execute a strategic business plan for the growth of business into MJ - across wholesale, corporate, government and group segments. Ensure all business development activities are fully aligned with Jumeirah's Brand Standards.




You Main Duties will be:



  • Sets and monitors annual commercial plan goals and sales targets.

  • Provides leadership in entrepreneurial sales & marketing activities

  • Ensures departmental policies and procedures are in place and adhered to

  • Ensures Jumeirah Brand Standards are adhered to

  • Continuously reviews procedures and processes within the department to achieve maximum profit, productivity and efficiency

  • Continuously reviews product and branding to ensure we are selling creatively and offering a more innovative edge over our competitors

  • Maintains a high standard of personal appearance at all times

  • Liaises with relevant departments to ensure all customer needs and requests are met

  • Maintains effective communication, with regular 1-2-1 and team meetings

  • Identifies and builds productive relationships with business partners

  • Leads the creation of flexible solutions to attract new and potential customers

  • Coaches and is a mentor for the Sales team

  • Complies with all regional reporting requirements in the said timeframe

  • Represents the hotel at Road Shows, Trade Shows and management events

  • Conducts site inspections and entertainment for Sales and PR

  • Determines and implements the balance of business mix into the hotel

  • Provides on the job and external training for colleagues in the department as required

  • Maintains a current knowledge of Jumeirah products and services in order to cross sell and assist across the entire company

  • Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management
In order to be considered for this role, you will have at least five years in a Sales Director role within the hospitality & hotel management segment, preferably with pre-opening experience. Knowledge of our key markets essential UK, Russia & CIS, Europe and GCC.


Sales driven with proven ability to close sales and achieve results. Proven experience in leading a team of sales & marketing professionals. High level commercial & decision making skills.Proven experience in strategic thinking and drawing up strategic sales and marketing plans.


High level commercial & decision making skills. Presentation and public speaking attributes will be a must. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows
