LinkedIn's Business Analytics team uses data analysis to drive our monetization efforts. Our

team is rapidly reinventing the way that proprietary data analysis can drive sales / marketing

efforts and product decisions. We now need a talented and driven professional to accelerate our

efforts and be a major part of our data-centric culture. We're looking for a hands-on professional

with deep experience and passion for B2B marketing to help our Talent solutions better measure

and optimize the role of marketing to acquire new customers and help us grow our relationship

with existing customers.

A successful candidate will be both technically strong and business savvy, with a collaborative

and resourceful style that's contagious. Our team is highly entrepreneurial and business-focused.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Deliver actionable insights regarding how to track and optimize the impact of marketing

on new customer acquisition and existing customer retention. Example problems to

address are "How can we measure the impact of marketing on customer renewals rates?"

and "How can we segment our prospect audience to determine what stage of the customer

buying process they are at?"

 Be thought partner to marketing leaders in making data-driven business decisions

 Build dashboards to help marketers see the results of their activities and test new ideas

 Help our marketing team think about rigorous A/B tests to measure the impact of their

efforts

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

 BS or MS degree in quantitative fields such as Computer Science, Operational Research, Statistics, Economics, etc.

 2+ years' industry experience

 Experience with statistical testing methods (e.g., how to determine if a result is statistically significant) and how to implement in Microsoft Office

 Experience with SQL/relational databases (Teradata, Oracle etc.) and capable of analyzing and manipulating very large dataset

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 Overall, a highly driven, results-oriented, creative and nimble problem solver and a willingness to do "whatever it takes" to deliver business value quickly

 5+ years' industry experience, ideally in marketing analytics

 Deep understanding of marketing industry best practices. Experience with B2B or SaaS

business models a plus

 Programming experience in Python, Java, or equivalent

 Familiarity with statistical software such as R, SAS, or SPSS

 Experience with large-scale data analysis frameworks: Pig, Hive, Map-Reduce (Hadoop)

 Experience with Tableau, Microstrategy or other data visualization and BI tools

 Predictive modeling development experience

 Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to drive discussions with

marketers and cross-functional partners (e.g., marketing operations)
