products and technology.
Searching for your dream job? At LinkedIn, we strive to help our employees find passion and
purpose. Join us in changing the way the world works.
LinkedIn's Business Analytics team uses data analysis to drive our monetization efforts. Our

with existing customers.
A successful candidate will be both technically strong and business savvy, with a collaborative
and resourceful style that's contagious. Our team is highly entrepreneurial and business-focused.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver actionable insights regarding how to track and optimize the impact of marketing
on new customer acquisition and existing customer retention. Example problems to
address are "How can we measure the impact of marketing on customer renewals rates?"
and "How can we segment our prospect audience to determine what stage of the customer
buying process they are at?"
Be thought partner to marketing leaders in making data-driven business decisions
Build dashboards to help marketers see the results of their activities and test new ideas
Help our marketing team think about rigorous A/B tests to measure the impact of their
efforts
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BS or MS degree in quantitative fields such as Computer Science, Operational Research, Statistics, Economics, etc.
2+ years' industry experience
Experience with statistical testing methods (e.g., how to determine if a result is statistically significant) and how to implement in Microsoft Office
Experience with SQL/relational databases (Teradata, Oracle etc.) and capable of analyzing and manipulating very large dataset
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Overall, a highly driven, results-oriented, creative and nimble problem solver and a willingness to do "whatever it takes" to deliver business value quickly
5+ years' industry experience, ideally in marketing analytics
Deep understanding of marketing industry best practices. Experience with B2B or SaaS
business models a plus
Programming experience in Python, Java, or equivalent
Familiarity with statistical software such as R, SAS, or SPSS
Experience with large-scale data analysis frameworks: Pig, Hive, Map-Reduce (Hadoop)
Experience with Tableau, Microstrategy or other data visualization and BI tools
Predictive modeling development experience
Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to drive discussions with
marketers and cross-functional partners (e.g., marketing operations)
