Job description

LinkedIn Marketing Solutions Sales Team is looking for a world-class Sales Manager responsible for managing Account Executives in our New York office serving across several US vertical markets. Your goal is to grow Marketing Solutions sales revenue. You will live the LinkedIn Culture and Valueshelp build a new team, work with the management team to set strategy, and create a strong operational infrastructure that sets the business up to scale. You will also coach Account Executives on consultative solution selling and engage directly with Advertisers and Agencies. Finally, you will partner closely with Sales Operations, Customer Solutions, Marketing, Product and Agency Relations teams.

The successful Sales Manager is a strong People Manager with apt for Sales and Operations. You will act as a coach to the team and help Account Executives develop their skills and careers. You will engage in C-level client discussions and help close deals. You will proactively identify growth opportunities for the team and business. You will influence relevant internal stakeholders to drive innovation and performance excellence while keeping your clients' best interests in mind. You will act as an internal advocate for your team to ensure they are successful. You will identify and evangelize best practices for go-to-market and team operations. You will work on team and business projects as needed.

Performance Objectives:

Drive Engagement With your team, establish trusted relationships with our clients by providing high quality customer engagement activities (events, training, quarterly business reviews, consultative meetings). You are to build C-level relationships with key clients. You also need to understand clients' working environment and best way to foster success with the LinkedIn Marketing Solutions offerings and identify and eliminate challenges through this relationship building process.

Drive Revenue and Results Proactively identify areas of growth opportunity for the business, team, and our clients. Launch new ideas and iterate until you find the right recipe for success. Being able to influence and develop others without direct reporting relationships is critical. The Marketing Solutions Sales Manager will be on a quarterly sales compensation plan.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Sales Management experience in Technology and/or Advertising/Internet
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of driving Digital Advertising Sales results in a high-growth company environment
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • 5+ years of Digital Media and Online Advertising industry experience
  • Proven track record of Developing Talent and delivering Strong Revenue results
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external Senior Executives across a large organization
  • Established reputation as a High Integrity, Top Performer
