Group Manager, Global Brand Marketing

You'll also bring a healthy dose of humanity while leveraging a passion for technology, innovation and creativity. The successful candidate will bring a hearty execution mindset and will create world-class audience experiences that continuously surprise and delight.

This position sits in the Global Brand Marketing team that is responsible for driving reach and engagement with LinkedIn's audience of 300M+ members and customers. The successful candidate is equal parts strategic and creative and has a history of being a change agent with a winning track record for working across teams to achieve greatness.

This position is based in Mountain View, CA.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute on brand strategies that clearly embody the vision and mission for LinkedIn
  • Execute consumer-facing campaigns that communicate our narrative and deepen brand engagement
  • Communicate a uniquely ownable message that reinforces LinkedIn's brand identity and value proposition
  • Leverage member insights to shape brand strategy and execution
  • Lead effectively across functions, products and global regions
  • Manage external agency relationships and projects
  • Provide timely and consistent communication of brand activity to internal stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Define and develop measures to track brand performance and campaign effectiveness
  • Drive innovation and champion a willingness to be at the cutting edge of marketing
  • Measure impact and optimization of marketing efforts across channels; communicate results and share best practices broadly
Preferred qualifications:
  • BA or BS degree; advanced degree is a plus
  • A seasoned marketer with at least 10 years of experience doing related work in technology, corporate brand management or brand strategy consulting

  • Ability to effectively influence at all levels - across functions and geographies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Global brand marketing and/or agency experience a plus
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire and develop a team of marketers
  • Experience working with brand marketing strategy and development
  • Strong results orientation in dynamic, high-growth, fast paced environments with proven track record of delivering on projects with tight deadlines and cross-functional dependencies
  • Expertise in working cross-functionally and influencing across boundaries
  • Conversant in multiple marketing channels across digital and traditional media
  • Experience working with agencies, developing creative briefs and producing winning creative expression
  • Strong analytical skills and proven record of measuring and analyzing results
  • Strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints and within budget parameters
  • You're a people person who thrives in highly matrixed environments and is equally comfortable working with internal subject matter experts, external partners and customers.
  • You're wired to always think globally. You may even have been heard to utter phrases like "That won't work in India" or "I think this will totally resonate in the Nordics"
  • Ideally you're a confident public speaker who can develop subject matter expertise while serving as a spokesperson for the business.
