MARKETS ALERT: US stocks open amid new China pessimism, disappointing Netflix earnings

U.S. stocks opened lower Thursday as the outlook for a trade deal with China fades and Netflix's disappointing 2Q earnings. The streaming site posted a loss of 126,000 paid users in the U.S. and missed international expectations.
